The Tales of Beedle the Bard

The Tales of Beedle the Bard - Collectors Edition

I am very excited that The Tales of Beedle the Bard are now going to be available to everyone, for a price that is. There are going to be two versions coming out in December. The standard one will just be a typed version of the original, but there is going to be a collectors edition, exclusively from Amazon.com, that will be a replica of the original. The replica comes with some cool bonuses as well J.K. Rowling mentions them on her site.

The new edition will include the Tales themselves, translated from the original runes by Hermione Granger, and with illustrations by me, but also notes by Professor Albus Dumbledore, which appear by generous permission of the Hogwarts Headmasters’ Archive.’ ‘Dumbledore’s commentary on the Tales, which was discovered among his papers after his death, includes some historical notes, personal reminiscences, and insights into that most mysterious branch of magic: wandlore.

The Standard Edition copy is priced at $7.59 on Amazon. The Collector’s is priced at $100. The proceeds well be going to the Children’s High Level Group. Of course Nick and I have already pre-ordered our Collector’s Edition copy and plan to get a standard edition too.

Doctors

I have so many Doctors appointments its just crazy. I have an eye appointment to see if I have calcium deposits on my retinas. Then I have an appointment with my Rheumatologist to make sure my blood counts are normal. Plus I have to go to the Podiatrist for my feet. I need a super doctor that can do everything.

Pain

I’m in a lot of pain today. I burnt my hand with hot oil when I was cooking my husbands food this morning. It hurts a lot and has blistered. Hopefully the pain mads will help soon.

one year anniversary of Harry Potter series end.

Today is the one year anniversary of the release or the last book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Nick and I had the privilege to host a book release party on this day last year. It was very exciting. After the party we went home and had a reading maration. Nick didn’t stop till he was finished with the book I on the other hand couldn’t stay up that long. I had to sleep a little before finishing. The strange thing is I am very carful with my books but after one read through of my copy of Deathly Hallows it fell apart I still have it but I had to remove the broken binding so now it is in loose pages that I find easier to hander then a large bound book. If I wanted to read a bound copy I wouldn’t have a problem we ended up with 5 copies in out home Nick and I both have 2 and our roommate has one. I’m rereading the book right now actully. Taking it slower is helping me savor the story.

Milk has a new outfit.

My roommate watches the news, I don’t. So I get a lot of my news from him. Well this morning he was chatting with me and was telling me about Milk haveing a new container. At first I’m thinking “ok why would I care about a milk jug”. Then he started to describ it and I got intrested. So I did a google search and found a news article on the new york times website talking about it. I’ve got to say it looks cool. I’ll be looking for it on the shelf next time I go into a Walmart.

Back in the Flow.

Well its been a long time but finally Nick was able to get my new site up and running. Having lost all info from my other blog, starting over is the only thing to do. I hope to be active in posting and will try to get an about me page up soon. For now I don’t have much to say but I will soon.

One Year of Blogging

Wow one year at blogging it’s been slow but i think I’m getting the hang of it. Looking forward to another year.

It’s Been a While

Wow so much has happened. I know I haven’t been good about posting but hopefully that will change. well lets start from where we left off. Nick and I did move, to Mountain View, CA. Nick’s job is going very well and I have a job now myself. Nick and I are Hosts of a Podcast called WizardCast. It is very exciting to know that thousands of people are listening to you. I wish I could go more into the podcast but we are making some changes that haven’t been announced yet. I’m going to start posting about books and games that I’ve read and played. So that may help me post more often.

In San Fran!

We are now in San Fransisco Cali. We will be here till Sunday. But it looks like we will be moving here soon.

Updates to this site

I am going to be doing some updates soon First I am going to try to create a help page for RoseOnline I may add other help pages for other games later on. Another update will be the Cookbook page it will take a while but eventually we It will be up with a Recipe Database that will let you input the ingredients you have on hand to find something to cook with what you have. This will include a user system allowing you to save your “Pantry List” so that you just have to update it and not put in everything each time. I hope to make this site useful for a lot of people.
